Global Citizenship Curriculum Project - Georgetown University

The School of Foreign Service published a Q&A with Henry Albrecht (SFS’28), who shares his experience developing skills in cross-cultural dialogue as part of the IAJU Global Citizenship Fellows Program.

The International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU) Global Citizenship Fellows Program brought together 11 students from nine Jesuit institutions across eight countries through a series of virtual dialogues leading up to an in-person study tour in Rome, Italy from May 31 to June 6, 2026.

The International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU) Global Citizenship Curriculum Project completed its fourth semester of operation in fall 2025. Seventy faculty members from 33 Jesuit institutions in 19 different countries were involved, virtually convening over 900 students to discuss global issues.

In fall 2025 the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU) Global Citizenship Curriculum Project launched the Alumni Ambassadors program—a new opportunity for alumni of the IAJU Global Citizenship Fellows Program.

Berkley Center Director Thomas Banchoff actively engaged with leaders from Jesuit universities during the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU) working group meetings in Rome. His participation underscores the Berkley Center's central role in advancing global citizenship and social transformation within the Jesuit higher education network. 

The International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU) Global Citizenship Curriculum Project has introduced a new faculty working group designed to share best practices and improve pedagogical strategies and learning outcomes for the project going forward.
